_____________________
Name: Sunpaw

Gender: she-cat

Age: 7 moons

Breed: american shorthair mix

Clan/Rank: ShadowClan/apprentice

Personality: /optimistic/, /bubbly/, /stubborn/, /outspoken/

/optimistic/: Her motto is, "always look at the bright side of life." And she means it! She'll laugh and cheer often, and it will always brighten one's day. She is always looking for silver linings in cloudy skies. She will always be there to cheer on a friend or to comfort someone in need. She's always hopping, skipping, and jumping through problems. It takes alot to make her attitude sad or upset. She's always there and will soemtimes even teach older cats that having fun is for all ages.

/bubbly/: She is a very high spirited she-cat who is always walking around with a smile on her face. She makes others want to be happy and shows what it's like when you be who you are from the inside out. Sure, she isn't going to smile when she misses a mouse when hunting, but she never gives up! She has a great aura, and she is someone cats gravitate to for advice or friendship. She'll let her friendships stretch across boundaries, which can be a weakness for her. But she always takes weaknesses to her advantage!

/stubborn/: Yep! You guessed it. This she-cat's downfall is that she is as stubborn as a rock. She won't do something she thinks is too difficult or cruel, and if she really doesn't want to do what one cat says, she just blocks the cat's vouce out completely. If she says "night" and someone else says "day", they probably won't bother arguing against her because she would drag it on for hours without an end. Even if she's doing something wrong, she'll think it's right.

/outspoken/: Blazepaw is not afraid to speak her mind when necessary. She knows what is right deep inside her heart and will work for justice until justice is served. (lol *derpface*) She is an excellent judge of character and will tell someone near and dear to her if there is something on her mind she needs to get out. She is very brave in doing so and will stand up against even StarClan if what they are doing she thinks is wrong. This can be her weakness as well as her strength. Sometimes she regrets things but it happens very rarely. Once she says something, she almost never takes it back.

BACKSTORY
Before Sunpaw was born, her mother had left her father after getting in a fight with him and running away, pregnant with a litter of one. No one knows what the fight was about, or who the parents were. All that was known was that the mother came from a long line of rouges who were ancestors of an ancient ShadowClan cat. Therefore, ShadowClan was rich in the blood of this kit. The father of Sunpaw was worried, for he himself dispised the clans and knew that his ex-mate would give their kit to ShadowClan. He decided he wanted to raise his new kit like his other two, and confronted his older daughters, Frost and Flicker, to spy on her mother and retrieve the kit from her as soon as possible. And so it was done.

Sunpaw was born in the darkness of a storm. Lightning had struck the sky in such a unique splendor that it was said that her mother was so curious about the lightning that she had abandoned her precious baby kit in the tree hollow where the kit was born and went to get a better view in another tree. Because of the mother's curiosity (no pun intended), the she-cat was killed from a blazing fire shining like the sun that was caused by one of the trees being set on fire. Frost and Flicker's mission was complete. But in spite of her father and in hatred of her mother, Frost decided to keep her tiny sister to herself to raise with the help of Flicker, who was not even 4 moons at the time. Frost named the she-kit Sun for her fire-like markings, and for the feat that killed her mother. Frost had decided to herself that she would eventually give Sun to BloodClan, so she would one day come to destroy all who feared her. She kept her ambition away from Flicker and made shelter for the small, broken "family" in a hollow made of ashes from the forest fire that occured very far away from the lake and Sun's soon-to-be destination. They lived in the barren forest, which was reduced to soot and rubble after the fire.

So Sun grew up in the shadow of her sister, Frost, who had begun violent training with the kit as soon as Sun could walk. With unsheathed claws, she learned simple rouge battle tecniques and hunting skills. Frost tried to corrupt Sun's mind with evil thoughts of revenge and murder, but Sun had paid no attention to the malicious lectures. Instead, she took after the personality of her happy-go-lucky sister, Flicker, who she played with after her training sessions. The bond between the two ginger she-cats tightened more than ever when a harsh famine struck the barren ash field and they were forced to take shelter with Frost close to the clans' territories.

But all Sun's friendships changed when Frost said to her that her and Flicker were going on a "bonding" trip together through the old ash fields, and they would be gone for a moon. Gullible at the time, Sun happily agreed and fended for herself for a moon, doing quite well at it. But when the duo came back, Flicker had changed rapidly. She had many scars on her fur, and she wouldn't play moss ball anymore. She had become a younger version of Frost, who had just become more malicious and devious. It was at this time when Sun was taking this all in that Frost revieled her plan of action to Sun. That she would join BloodClan and work as a pawn for the two sisters. Sun refused repeatedly, and fled from the sisters, near the border of ThunderClan.

After a quarter moon, the sisters had tracked Sun down. Frost offered Sun one more chance to go to BloodClan. Once again Sun refused. Then, as if things couldn't get worse, they did. Frost turned to Flicker and asked Flicker to kill Sun. Flicker agreed. After two mere blows to the back of her head, Sun agreed that she would go to BloodClan. But deep in her heart she had refused over and over again. After Frost and Flicker disappeared through the trees, Sun headed instead for ShadowClan, a clan known for hunting at night and being extrememely loyal to the warrior code. She knew this clan wasn't evil, and she decided to follow the roots she never knew about deep inside her and to become a ShadowClan cat. A cat that would go by the name of Sunpaw.

ROLE PLAY EXAMPLE

Blazepaw padded through the pine forest. The rain had clearly stopped, but a thick fog still hung lazily in the air, making everything she breathed in damp and cold. She coughed, seeing her breath billow out in barely visible clouds. Although newleaf might be on the way, the bad effects of leafbare still were everywhere. She closed her eyes and let a smile play across her face as she heard the soft crunch of a thin layer of snow underneath her paws. The soft, prickly pine needles lay underneath the snow. Her smild got a bit bigger. This would be perfect for lining the bedding for the elders! She unsheathed her claws and began to dig slowly. Then she dug faster and faster, until the snow spraying in her face turned to frozen chunks of rich soil. She chuckled to herself before collecting the pine needles and picking them up in her mouth, so she would be able to dig if she found anything else.

She heard a quiet, very faint rustle in the large, droopy branches of the evergreen tree behind her. She turned around, seeing the branch about a fox-length away from her. It was covered in shimmering frost and was swaying slowly, as if someone had just moved it aside a bit to see what Blazepaw was doing. The fur on Blazepaw's spine rose, and her tail fluffed out. She arched her back. What if it was Frost and Flicker, back from the ash field? The last visit they payed her hadn't been pleasent. Surely they hadn't found out about her coming to ShadowClan instead of BloodClan? If they did know, the new motivation of Blazepaw's evil sisters would be to make every ounce of her blood spill upon these pines, the life ebbing away from her. She could almost see two glowing yellow eyes peering at her through the tree branch and into her soul. Blazepaw dropped the precious bundle of soft pine needles and continued to stare at the evergreen.

"Who's there?" she said warily. She took two soft steps forward. She pressed her belly to the ground, as if stalking prey. She lowered her tail. Nothing happened. She hissed. "Show yourself!" Her heartbeat quickened.

'I will find you,' said a voice in her head. 'And I will make you regret ever coming here!'

Blazepaw's eyes widened. She yowled in terror as the voice was followed by an evil laugh. She ran through the brambles and pricker bushes. The pain seemed to be nothign compared to the sheer terror in her head. 'That voice was Frost's!' Blazepaw thought to herself. Her pine needles were now forgotten. She looked back at the tree where she heard the voice, now just a twig in the distance. She was coming to the edge of the territory. She slowed down and lifted her chin to the air, opening her mouth to smell for anything. Nothing. She looked around and practically stumbled over a small abandoned fox burrow underneath her. She crawled gingerly into it, curling her fluffy, long tail around her body.

'Was it really Frost?' she thought. 'Or am I just going mad?'

It didn't matter now. Her fur was still fluffed up from surprise and shock. 'Of course it matters!' she scolded herself. 'And this might not affect me, but all of ShadowClan as well...' She buried her head in her fur and fell asleep to the soft drizzle of new-fallen rain.
